Staurolite crystals were worn by Pocahontas, the daughter of Chief Powhaten- it is said that Pocahontas presented Captain John Smith with one of these crystals to protect him from harm. It is said to enhance and activate the performance of rituals. It is thought to also provide a channel to the wisdom of Middle Eastern ancient peoples.
